[jira] [Created] (CB-8788) Drop armv7s from default iOS Cordova
build to align with xCode 6
Marcus Pridham created CB-8788:
----------------------------------
Summary: Drop armv7s from default iOS Cordova build to align with xCode 6
Key: CB-8788
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-8788
Project: Apache Cordova
Issue Type: Bug
Components: iOS
Reporter: Marcus Pridham
Apple seems to have removed arm7s from the default architectures ${ARCHS_STANDARD} in Xcode 6.
http://www.cocoanetics.com/2014/10/xcode-6-drops-armv7s/
I have found that some plugins that I use that depend on native libraries that now no longer include this architecture because of the change in Xcode 6.
If you run 'cordova build' for an iOS device with one of these plugins it will fail because it can't find an armv7s architecture for the libraries.
The problem seems to be on these 2 lines:
https://github.com/apache/cordova-ios/blob/master/bin/templates/scripts/cordova/lib/build.js#L102
https://github.com/apache/cordova-ios/blob/master/bin/templates/scripts/cordova/lib/build.js#L107
The Cordova build script is requiring armv7s. Would it be possible to remove this architecture to align with what xCode 6 uses?
