[jira] [Created] (YUNIKORN-87) reservation logic should look at predicates

Wilfred Spiegelenburg created YUNIKORN-87:
---------------------------------------------

Summary: reservation logic should look at predicates
                 Key: YUNIKORN-87
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YUNIKORN-87
             Project: Apache YuniKorn
          Issue Type: Improvement
Components: core - scheduler, shim - kubernetes
            Reporter: Wilfred Spiegelenburg
            Assignee: Wilfred Spiegelenburg

In the current scheduling cycle we do not take into account predicates. This result in reservations that might never be full filled as the node taints do not match the pod.
Reservation quality can be improved by looking at predicates when deciding to make a reservation and not make a reservation if the predicates do not match
