FW: Reg: ./hdfs namenode -format -clusterid (name) command

 

 

 

Hi,

                In the command ./hdfs namenode -format -clusterid
(clustername)

If I give the clustername as " $name%-1 "

Format is happening but the clusterid is assigned with the following unique
id

"  %-1 "

Can you explain me why the entire clustername is not considered
