   ## Overview
   
   Fix a random mashup of test object generators with normal assertions. Should help with test's flakiness due to races and insure the test is actually testing what it's claiming it's testing.
   
   ## Testing recommendations
   
   Complete test suite should pass.  For isolated test: `make eunit apps=couch_peruser`
   
   ## Checklist
   
   - [x] Code is written and works correctly;
   - [x] Changes are covered by tests;
   - [ ] Documentation reflects the changes;
