[Issue 126743] New: thinks document is imported

Saved document. Shut computer down. Restarted computer. The program believes
that the document saved .ods is an import. I really need this document back up
and running pronto. please help!!

Pamela,

I inspected the file that you uploaded.  It is only 27.18 kb (very small). 
There is no data in it -- it is an empty file -- which is why Calc is trying to
open it as an imported text file.  

It appears that the document was not saved properly and there is nothing in the
file to recover.

It is possible that you did not wait long enough between the Save and the
computer shut-down.  

It is important that you have a practice of keeping backups of important files
and not saving edits on top of them in order to prevent situations where a
latest one is damaged or corrupted and effectively loses all that you had.

It is probably a technical issue to find a way to have more safeguards against
shutting down before a save actually completes, but that needs to be treated
with a separate defect.  There may be an issue, but there is no consolation for
you.  The file you last saved appears to be lost.

Although not enough information to determine cause, it is clear that the
created file was rubbish and typical of a kind of failure that is reported
regularly.
