failed allBuild

Hi folks,

I'm trying to evaluate Jetspeed-2 vs. Jetspeed-1.5 as a basis for a
project I;m working on, developing a web portal for grid-related needs.
My goal is to adapt some portlets from www.gridport.net, built on
jetspeed-1.5 to our own needs. using Jetspeed-2 will take a little bit
of modification, from Jetspeed-1.5.

3 Questions are:

1) Is there a known process for migrating Jetspeed-1.5 portlets to the
more standardized Jetspeed 2 API?

2) Is Jetspeed 2 stable enough at his point for someone new to portal
development (but not Java, JSP etc.) to make efficient use of it at
this point? Also, is there enough documentation to make its use
feasible at this point, and how much of the Jetspeed-1.5 documentation
is still relevant.

3) I'm having trouble getting Jetspeed-2 to build at this point. These
are the problems so far:

A)

Relatively small:

           " Attempting to download pluto-1.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar"

pluto-1.0.1.jar is in the maven repository, as is a
pluto-1.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar, but as maven continues to report this, I
assume it isn't really found. Being new to maven, this may be a simple
rehashing or something.

B)

Probably small too:

"Plugin 'maven-deploy-plugin' in project 'Jetspeed-2 Portal
Commons' is not available"

Plugin for Jetspeed-1.5 is installed, but, project files missing from
plugin/ directory in Jetspeed-2.

C)

Real error:

With the test server " maven start.test.server" running, build fails on
Component Manager. This continues to stop the process even with
"-DignoreFailures=true " added.
