re-use Hive and Hbase from another kylin cluster issue

I originally have a kylin cluster, I deleted it without deleting the Hbase and Hive storages.
now I created a new kylin cluster and would like to re-use the existing hbase and hive tables.
in the new cluster, I can find e projects of the old cluster but when I create new projects , the new projects won't show up and I cannot use the old projects either.

Is this scenario supported?

thanks,

Some big metadata (like dictionary) does not fit in HBase and in that case
is stored in HDFS as a fallback. Might be something you want to check.

Anyway, checkout the kylin.log is always the first step of troubleshooting.

that's interesting,, theoretically if your previous version and current
version are both 1.2, it should be backward compatible. You can check the
kylin.log under KYLIN_HOME to see what's happening in the backend (when
loading the old projects and cubes). You can also download the metadata to
checkout what's remaining. (

Both are 1.2. I download Kylin from here https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/kylin/apache-kylin-1.2/apache-kylin-1.2-bin.tar.gz
