Null values in AbstractComposableService

Hello, 

I'm using axis in Cocoon 2.1.7 and have a BindingImpl of my service. This BindingImpl extends the AbstractComposableService. But if I want to use the service the members (logger, m_manager) of the superclass are not initialized.  Do I have to configure something in the cocoon.xconf to make this working right?
