Sample files describing the issue
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1- On Draw, insert some arrows and select them
2- File → Export → be sure to check the "Selection" box → select png format and
export the image
3- Again File → Export, but now do NOT check the Selection box
Results:
- png file produced from selection is distorted
- png file produced from the whole page is OK
See attachment for an example:
On arrows.zip file you'll find
- original arrows.odg file
- arrows-selection.png is the result of selecting both arrows and exporting the
selection only
- arrows-page.png is the result of exporting the whole page

Right. Testing the sample file, export selection to png image looks good for me
now also.

ALG: Sorry, cannot reproduce with AOO3.4 release version. I loaded Your
example, selected the two arrows and exported to png with selecvtion checked,
all works perfectly. Please try yourself with AOO3.4 release version.

It seems that the changes on AOO 4.0 fixed this problem too: I cannot reproduce
it on last RC, neither the export nor the copy - paste as GDI metafile

ALG: Hmmm... Maybe a system-dependent thing (should not, but who knows?). Which
version on which system did you use? I used on win7-64 the 32-bit AOO3.4
release version. Did you use anything else?

I noticed a problem that seems correlated with this one: if I select both
arrows on the sample odg file, copy, go to Writer and do a Paste special →
GDImetafile or bitmap, I obtain exactly the same broken arrows offered by
"Export → Selection only".
If I paste as GDImetafile inside Draw, problem do not happen.
It seems that position of elements on the vector graph are wrongly set when
exporting the image, either with the Export menu or by copy pasting it to a
different app.

The attachment was created with AOO 3.4: no beta, no previous version.
