[jira] [Commented] (ACCUMULO-1378) Allow MiniAccumulo cluster configured directory to be used across different runs

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACCUMULO-1378?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13648489#comment-13648489 ]

Keith Turner commented on ACCUMULO-1378:
----------------------------------------

Processes started by a previous MAC instance could possibly still be running. Would need to gracefully handle this case. Accumulo uses zookeeper for this sort of coordination, but what about zookeeper itself? If multiple zookeeper processes are started with the same data directory does zookeeper do something to prevent one process from running?

> Currently, the MiniAccumuloCluster assumes it should always create the directory structure and throws an exception if the passed in directory has anything in it.
