JSP1.1. Tag extensions on Apache


Does anyone know whether it is possible to to use jsp1.1 tag extensions with
Apache 1.3.12 withjout actaully having to forwared requests to tomcat?  Would it
be possible for apache to make use of ApacheModuleJServ.dll on it's own?  I'm
running on NT 4 sp4.   Also is a version of JServ around that can handle jsp1.1?
