### Please describe the bug 🐞
the dataset was partitioned using month(timestamp col), then partition key changed to day(timestamp col). We observed inconsistent query results for the following 2 queries,
1. select distinct date(timestamp col) from xxx where date(timestamp col) > date('2023-11-01') order by 1 desc - returns only 2 rows
2. select distinct date(timestamp col) from xxx order by 1 desc limit 30 - returns 20 rows
looks like the partition key change has affected the query results, which should not be
