First of all congratulation for the new version!

With PDFBox 1.8.x I was able to re-write the addSignature() function in order to sign in an existing empty visible signature field.
When I wanted to redo the same with this new version, I failed because the setter COSDocument.setSignatureInterface() does not exist anymore and I found no way to set the signature interface without re-writing a ton of Java classes.

Now I may have a clean solution: make some attributes protected in PDDocument in order to extend the object and override some functions.

You may have a better idea.
