Dynamically generated HTML pages compressed with mod_deflate are sometimes truncated
Summary: Dynamically generated HTML pages compressed with
mod_deflate are sometimes truncated
Product: Apache httpd-2.0
Version: 2.0.46
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: Critical
Priority: Other
Component: mod_deflate
AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
ReportedBy: gguillaud@cegid.fr
Hello, I've a problem with Apache 2.0.46/2.0.47 and mod_deflate under Linux. I
use ColdFusion MX to generate dynamic HTML pages, and these pages have to be
compressed using mod_deflate. Most of the time, it works fine.
But sometimes, there's a problem: the pages are not entirely transmitted to the
web browser.
This problem happens randomly: the same page can be transmitted completely one
time, and be truncated the next time. Even the place of the truncation in the
source is random.
When mod_deflate is disconnected, I don't have the problem anyway. And the logs
tell me that the sizes of compressed and uncompressed files are good.
Do you have an idea to resolve this problem?
Gilles GUILLAUD.
