We getting problems with encoding when using wrang charset..
When add -Dfile.encoding=8859_1 -Dmail.mime.charset=iso-8859-15" to JVM_OPTS to bin/phoenix.sh all seems ok. Why not add this settings by default..

The only known problem is with AddFooter and this is duplicate of JAMES-443.
If there are other known problems (excluding AddFooter) we should solve them indipendently.
We cannot add ISO-8859-15 charset as a default because every user will have its own preferred charset!
ISO-8859-15 works fine for western europe as a default but not for the rest of the world.

Please note that I appended a new AddFooter to JAMES-443 and this should work with and without the specified jvm variable.
I would be glad if you can confirm this in your system.
If James does not work fine with the new AddFooter please report the exact problem and if you are using any third party mailet.
