when compiling the whole solution only one project fails (xlm4com).
this is because the ConvertStringToBSTR symbol is not found.
I fixed the problem by adding to StdAfx.cpp just after the #include of stdafx.h the following lines:
#if defined(_MSC_VER) && _MSC_VER > 1300
#pragma comment(lib, "comsuppw.lib")
#endif
