[jira] Commented: (DERBY-178) Provide line number information in distribution's class files

Jörg von Frantzius commented on DERBY-178:
------------------------------------------

A -debug distribution would be really great. I just stepped in to issue #151 and it would be nice to quickly have a look in the source code what is going on. People would be enabled to provide more information on issues they find.

If you could create an Eclipse plugin with source and -debug classes, now that would be really absolutely great :)
The Eclipse plugin doesn't need to have a small footprint anyway.

> To make debugging easier using the derby distribution provided for download, it would be nice to have line numbering information included in the classes. With javac, that would be providing the option "-g" in the compiler's commandline.
