Doubt about "Importing Dependencies"

Has this advice

Never declare the pom importing a pom as the parent (or grandparent, etc) of
the target pom. There is no way to resolve the cicularity and an exception
will be thrown.

Can you share an example simple? 

I dont have clear the idea
