Lack permissions to merge

I seem to be able to create a pull request to SDAP, but not merge.  When I choose “squash and merge” from the pull down nothing happens.  I am not seeing the box to enter a comment and confirm.  I am assuming it is because I am somehow missing those privileges, but that is just a guess.  I am not sure who to contact to fix that.  Can anybody help?
