Looking for a database tutorial

Hello,

I am a bewbie in Tapestry and am looking for a tutorial that shows how to 
insert, update and delete.

I have been unable to find anything.
I just purchased "Tapestry in Action", and must admit I am having a hard 
time getting a grasp on this.
