[jira] [Commented] (STORM-1446) Compile the Calcite logical plan to Storm physical plan

Jungtaek Lim commented on STORM-1446:

Could you clarify more on this issue: what's Storm physical plan?
I can see the possibility to convert Calcite logical plan to Trident logical plan (not creating the code but using Trident features) so that Trident can optimize the topology, so I would like to know if you mean this, or you mean handling the assignment (scheduler).

> As suggested in https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/STORM-1040?focusedCommentId=15036651&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-15036651, compiling the logical plan from Calcite down to Storm physical plan will clarify the implementation of StormSQL.
