   I think the amended approach is a more natural way to handle an "end of recovery" event.
   
   One suggestion is to add one more test for "InputStatus.END_OF_RECOVERY".
   
   Previously this info is implicitly tested in `testUpstreamResumedUponEndOfRecovery`
