  We aren't certain exactly what the interdependencies are.  The Cassini
  example ASP.NET server mentions a number of registry entries and so forth
  that are required.

  Since .NET doesn't feel like installing every pointer that the module
  isapi_aspnet.dll needs to have, in order to process ASP.NET, the installer
  probably needs to perform some 'extra help'.  That gets dicy because we
  don't want to risk contaminating the existing config.

  All help on this issue is welcomed.
