testXSLT aborts when translating docbook xml.

hi there,

I have trouble translating docbook documents. When running
testXSLT -in classsynop.xml -out classsynop.html -xsl docbook.xsl

the program aborts with the message:

Abort (core dumped)

Did I miss anything while installing xalan ?
Any hints would be highly appreciated,
