[jira] [Created] (IMPALA-11090) Need a method to specify the current number of executors for an executor group
Qifan Chen created IMPALA-11090:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Need a method to specify the current number of executors for an executor group
Key: IMPALA-11090
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IMPALA-11090
Project: IMPALA
Issue Type: Improvement
Reporter: Qifan Chen
Currently, impalad accepts -num_expected_executors for the expected number of executors of a group. The feature is very useful in testing auto-scaling feature (IMPALA-10992).
It will be very nice to specify the current number of executors as a new parameter to impalad.
Both the current number of executors and the expected number of executors are important parameters for an executor group.
