ZK Alternative for Replicated Master

Hi Devs,
Are there any way to run multiple Mesos masters without using ZK?We have
bad experience in maintaining the ZK cluster. Is it possible to implement
the leader election with other framework such as Hazelcast?

Thanks in advanced

Hi Bala,

We are considering adding our own abstraction of leader election in mesos,
which might be part of the API

Is it possible to implement the leader election with other framework such
> as Hazelcast?

I am not sure about this part. Maybe others can jump in to answer this
question.

At the current time you have to use ZK to run a fault-tolerant cluster
(with multiple masters).

We intentionally made it possible to support other frameworks, so if
Hazelcast provides leader election and discovery primitives and a C/C++
client, adding support wouldn't be too difficult.
