I don't know if it has anything to do with "multi-line" or if this even exists
in SVG but that's where the alignment is wrong. The first line is too far
right. See the attached svg and pdf. This is tested with the latest snapshot
(batik-src-10-09-12.zip).

The modification demonstrated in comment 3 point towards a duplicate of bug
49736. This means that it is somehow easy to workaround: either change the SVG
generation to avoid the trailing space or switch platform (as stated in bug
49736, it appears to be Windows-centric).
Help in determine the specific Java platform bug or a suitable code workaround
for Windows is welcome! ;-)

Fixed SVG
This is a slightly modified version of the original SVG. The only modification
needed was removing the trailing space in a tspan: "Collapsed " -->
"Collapsed".
