Karaf Cave Release addressing KARAF-5555
Hi,
I was planning to use karaf cave in my CI workflow however
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-5555 blocks completely the usage
of Cave.
Besides others mentioned in the issue not being able to access rest nor
maven endpoints are the worst ones.
Any workarounds that I can apply to address this issues. I've tried to
change the alias and to change the cxf configuration all to no avail :-(

I can confirm that, however I've also installed cave-maven and I'm not seeing
the maven endpoint.

By the way, another easier workaround is, instead of doing feature:install
cave-server, you do:
feature:install cave-storage
feature:install cave-http
feature:install cave-rest
Then, it will work.

FYI, I'm able to reproduce your issue: it's a race condition on the HttpService.
A workaround is to restart the Cave Rest bundle.
I'm fixing that right now.

Yes if I stop and start it works however the same does not work for the
maven servlet (endpoint /cave/maven). No mater what I do it does not go up
(it does not appear when I issue a http:list).
