[jira] Commented: (AXIS-2018) WSDL2Java generates > symbols where it shouldn't

Daniel Kador commented on AXIS-2018:
------------------------------------

Sorry that I haven't responded in a few days. I had to take care of another project.

The problem is that I cannot even get to see the wire. If I don't remove the '>' symbols, I can't even deploy the service. As soon as I do, however, everything works as it should. I don't know how you'd define that, but even if it's technically okay for '>' symbols to appear in the Java code and the .wsdd file, it doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment. Any ideas?

I'd invite you to try generating the code with the wsdl and xsd I attached to see if you can get it to work without modifying the emitted files.

> First off, I was under the impression that this bug was fixed. It's possible I'm doing something incorrectly, but if so, I'm not sure what. Hopefully I'm not wasting any developer's time.
> I'm using a WSDL that has an .xsd file as its schema. I'll attach them if requested. When I run the command "java org.apache.axis.wsdl.WSDL2Java -s -S true mywsdl.wsdl", everything proceeds as it should. However, both the deploy.wsdd and various parts of the emitted Java code contains extraneous > symbols, which obviously is not a good thing. Like I said above, I thought this was fixed in the 1.2 release, but apparently it is not.
