Which modules?

Hi,

I'd like to build a secure server but I'm
not sure what are those modules what is
a must for a working server. 
Which modules should I compile to the binary 
to make it as fast and secure as possible? 

I have to enable http and https, file uploads and
basic authentication services.

Is there any good documentation which describes
a minimal server configuration and explains exactly
what should I or shouldn't I include in the httpd.conf?

I'm afraid O'Reillys' apache book isn't a good source
in this topic... :(
