[jira] Resolved: (DIRSTUDIO-437) Alias are not exposed as such in
the browser
Stefan Seelmann resolved DIRSTUDIO-437.
---------------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
Assignee: Stefan Seelmann
If you now create an alias entry then it is visible in tree. Additional a temporary flag is set at the parent, so if you refresh the parent the the aliases are also fetched (DIRSTUDIO-558). However is you close and open the connection (or if you restart studio) then this flag is gone, you need to set it manually (right-click the parent and select Fetch > Fetch Aliases).

> When creating an alias, you can't see it in the browser, except if you create a search, launch it, and suddenly the may view is updated with the alias exposed. (Whatever option you select for the alias : dereferencing or not, etc).
> What is exposed is another entry with the aliased entry's DN, and a standard icon. When the search has been launched, then the icon changed to a folder with the 'A' on it, plus the DN is changed to the alias' DN.
