[jira] Commented: (SUREFIRE-723) All tests are executed when -Dtest= option is specified

Kristian Rosenvold commented on SUREFIRE-723:
---------------------------------------------

The change is probably real, but as Olivier points out there's a more appropriate way of achieving this effect.

So even though the semantics of an empty test expression seem to have changed from "include none" to "include all", I will be proposing this as won't fix. Feel free to suggest why not.

> Before version 2.8 it was possible to generate the test jar packages without actually running the unit tests by specifying the option -Dtest= (mvn install -Dtest=). This has changed with 2.8 since now this option doesn't seem to have any effect, i.e. all the tests are executed.
