> Images that are defined in config.xml are nicely copied into a new directory under the root called "res" (splash screens and icons). The resulting project uses the default Cordova images and not the ones from config.xml as the "res"  directory files should have been located under the project/android directory instead. This problems is new in Android platform 6.0.0 and is not present in 5.2.2.
> Problem does not show with Cordova 6.4.0 and Android 5.2.2, i.e. it is strictly located in the Android platform.
