[jira] Commented: (CLK-511) Horizontal TabMenu Control

Bob Schellink commented on CLK-511:
-----------------------------------

I'm not sure why this is filed under menu enhancements. Tabs are not menus.

> Please add a Horizontal TabMenu Control.
> The actual Menu control, while it looks nice in click-examples, it has it's problems when users try to use it in their own applications:
> - it can't a selected item
> - it's drop down (practical for sites, but webapps require tabs)
> - it's hard to customize (at least for me :( )
> - (there are quite a few issue requests open related to the Menu control).
> In many webapplications, the requirement is to have horizontal tab menu. Some example of nice tab menus:
> http://exploding-boy.com/images/cssmenus2/menus.html
> http://unraveled.com/publications/css_tabs/
> Or a two level tabs menu:
> http://kalsey.com/2003/05/css_tabs_with_submenus/
> I think the QuickStart example should use one of these (to make it more useful for users).
