[m2] [webstart] Is there any way to turn off jar signing?

With the jar plugin, you can set the property
-Dmaven.jar.sign.skip=true to turn off jar signing.  I'd like to set
up our webstart-based project to skip signing in certain cases also
(using profiles).  Can this be done?
