[jira] [Created] (HDFS-3450) CLI checkpoint command in an HA
cluster
Jonathan Natkins created HDFS-3450:
--------------------------------------
Summary: CLI checkpoint command in an HA cluster
Key: HDFS-3450
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-3450
Project: Hadoop HDFS
Issue Type: New Feature
Affects Versions: 0.23.1, 2.0.0
Reporter: Jonathan Natkins
In a non-HA cluster, it is possible to force a checkpoint via the SNN:
`hdfs secondarynamenode -checkpoint force`
However, in an HA cluster, there is no way to do this. It would be nice to have, so that the feature set doesn't change dramatically between HA/non-HA configurations.
