COCOON 2.1.2
This site is the home page of the faculty of Arts. It shows information
related to us (faculty & staff, events, calendars, alumni, research projects,
etc). Some of the info is translated to English (but the most stands in
Spanish). It works using your suggested Apache+tomcat+cocoon "architecture".
Apache serves static content whilst cocoon is used to create dynamic stuff
(most of which is derived form an Oracle database using XML DB). The "central
area" of any of the pages is hold by a flash movie that requests xml files
(they can be static files that reside on disk or XML files built using XSPs and
Oracle Functions).
