Re: Crail project looking for mentors

Posted by Neelesh Salian <ne...@gmail.com>.
Hi Patrick,

Would like to volunteer to be a mentor, if you are still looking for one

Worked on Hadoop, Spark, Beam and Flink for a while.
Let me know.

Re: Crail project looking for mentors

Posted by Julian Hyde <jh...@apache.org>.
OK, good to hear.

When you’ve created the mailing lists, it would be extremely helpful if you proactively ensure that everyone who should be on those lists is on those lists. Basically, do a roll call. Then we can start doing business on the lists (and leave these poor folks on general@incubator alone!)

While I have your attention, who is going to write the report for the December board meeting? If I have a name I can nag them.

Julian

Re: Crail project looking for mentors

Posted by Patrick Stuedi <ps...@gmail.com>.
Hi Julian,

Indeed you're right to ask that question. What has happened is that we
only finally managed to hand over the signed corporate CLA to Apache
yesterday and until then the whole process I guess was blocked. Reason
it took so long is because this form had to get signed by an IBM
executive and these processes in IBM sometimes take an unbelievable
long time, which is annoying for everyone. Hope we can move on now and
start preparing the mailing lists etc..
