no Perl interpreter detected for support scripts

hi all,
Am I writing to the right mailing group?
if not could anybody tell me the right mailing group please!!

here is the question;
I installed a fresh sun ultra for the proxy.
at the time I was running the apache installation,
# ./configuration --prefix=PREFIX
then I got the error;
Warning: no Perl interpreter detected for support scripts.
