[jira] [Created] (LEGAL-268) Use of Aparapi libraries in Apache projects

Edward J. Yoon created LEGAL-268:
------------------------------------

Summary: Use of Aparapi libraries in Apache projects
                 Key: LEGAL-268
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-268
             Project: Legal Discuss
          Issue Type: Question
            Reporter: Edward J. Yoon

Apache Hama and HORN (incubating) projects, considering to use of Aparapi, a Java bytecode to OpenCL conversion tool developed by AMD for support SIMD and GPUs. That project is licensed using BSD 3 with additional clauses as shown in the LICENSE file [1].

https://github.com/aparapi/aparapi/blob/master/LICENSE.TXT#L25

The question is 1) can we include aparapi.jar and native libaparapi_x86_64.so binary files in Apache projects, and distribute it under Apache 2.0?
