[jira] Created: (MAVENUPLOAD-475) IntelliJIdea Openapi

IntelliJIdea Openapi
--------------------

         Key: MAVENUPLOAD-475
         URL: http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MAVENUPLOAD-475
     Project: maven-upload-requests
        Type: Task
 Reporter: Hendrik Schreiber

This is the openapi.jar file from IntelliJIdea 4.5.4. This file is necessary to compile plugins for IntelliJIdea. I know of two plugins currently in development: Mavenide and Cargo (http://cargo.codehaus.org/). Both use Maven and would like to continue to use Maven for building the plugins without having to make developers download IntelliJIdea.

Note that the original license does not grant the right to redistribute this file. However, the following statement was made by an IntelliJIdea representative:

==========quote===========
Hello Hendrik,

HS> that's great news (haven't gotten to check out 5.0, yet)! How do you
HS> suggest we should proceed with a 4.54 plugin?

We don't plan to release any new updates for IDEA 4.5, so the official text
of the 4.5 license will not be changed. However, unofficially we don't have
any objections to distributing the 4.5 version of openapi.jar.

Well, I read them... I suppose you want me to change the id to "com.intellijidea"?
(I didn't do that, since it did not seem to be common practice - Cargo for example has a group id "cargo").

Done.
