   The "run task" button has been removed because a) it was confusing b) it did not work in all cases c) it was dangerous to use d) there were security vulnerabilities connected to it.

   So yeah you are right it made no sense to have it.
   
   I recommend to upgrade to latest 2.6 in general to get rid of it.
