[jira] [Commented] (MESOS-3823) Mesos master should expose the version of registered frameworks

Guangya Liu commented on MESOS-3823:
------------------------------------

[~vinodkone] one question is that how we define the API version once introduced /master/framwork endpoint? Currently, we only have v1 and non v1 API, how to present them in the /master/framwork endpoint? v1 and pre-v1? Another question is how to enable master know which API version does master is using, how to enable master get the API version of a registered scheduler? Seems the master cannot get the registered version but can only respond to registered scheduler request. Thanks!

> Currently Mesos master doesn't expose the (release and API) version information of clients (agents and schedulers) registered with it. It would be useful to have this information in the WebUI and in an HTTP endpoint. The latter would be especially useful during deploys/upgrades.
