   ## Current state
   
   `jdbc/mariadb` has **zero tests** — `MariadbJdbcAutoSchemaSink` is not exercised at all in CI.
   
   ## Proposal
   
   Add a Testcontainers-based integration test following the existing pattern in `jdbc/clickhouse` (`ClickHouseJdbcSinkIntegrationTest`): start a `MariaDBContainer`, create a destination table, open the sink, write an Avro `GenericRecord`, and verify the row lands in the database.
   
   Requires adding a `testcontainers-mariadb` entry to the version catalog (resolves via the existing Testcontainers BOM).
   
   _Part of an integration-test coverage sweep of all connector modules._
