Updated properties patch

Relative to revision 496642. Includes previous changes and further
modifications to CommonXXX and XXXProperty classes. Breaks TXTHandler and will
affect any other code which relies on Mutable properties. For the most part,
the patch consists of adding hashCode() and equals() methods and replacing
constructor calls with calls to static getInstance methods.
