Project tag basedir attribute should be relative to ${user.dir} (the user's current working directory)

Summary: Project tag basedir attribute should be relative to
${user.dir} (the user's current working directory)
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.5.4
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core
        AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org
        ReportedBy: rodney.cheater@dsto.defence.gov.au

I don't understand why the basedir is taken relative to the location of the
build script. Who cares where the build script is?

The work around, of course, is to set a property ${base} to ${user.dir} and
prefix all directory references with ${base}/ but it kinda defeats the purpose
of basedir.
