This behaviour is desired. You can configure if they should be editable, see
http://lenya.apache.org/docs/1_4/reference/metadata.html

Ok, I understand that by default Lenya will display all available metadata
dynamically. Still, I think it makes sense for the default publication to only
show selected ones, because the default pub is an example and most of the time
people will end up only showing a few metadata and let edit some of them. WDOT?

OK, sounds good. And if one wants a per-publication metadata screen, then one
will create the corresponding jx
(pubs/MYPUB/lenya/modules/sitemanagement/usecases/tab/meta.jx)
BTW, (how) can I configure the Registering Meta Data Element Sets from within my
publication?
