We have just implemented a GPIO Expander that fixes the above issues for BL602 and BL604:

   - Support 23 GPIOs with any mix of GPIO Inputs / Outputs / Interrupts

   - Renumber the GPIOs as "/dev/gpio0" to "/dev/gpio22", which are simply mapped as GPIO 0 to GPIO 22

   - Allow gaps in the GPIO Numbering, skipping the GPIOs reserved for UART, I2C, SPI and PWM

   - Keep the BL602 EVB Pin Definitions (`board.h`), so that BL602 EVB will still build OK without GPIO Expander

   - Validate the GPIOs at startup

   More details in this article...

   - ["NuttX GPIO Expander for PineDio Stack BL604"](https://lupyuen.github.io/articles/expander)
