installing activeMQ in linux computer

Hi
I am new to activeMQ. I downloaded activeMQ 5.9.0 and installed as per
instructions. However, when I test it with netstat command it does not show
it is working. I would appreciate if someone could tell me what I am doing
wrong. I will post a typescript below FYI.

Configuration of this script:
The configuration of this script can be placed on /etc/default/activemq
or /home/wathugala/.activemqrc.
To use additional configurations for running multiple instances on the
same operating system
rename or symlink script to a name matching to
activemq-instance-<INSTANCENAME>.
This changes the configuration location to
/etc/default/activemq-instance-<INSTANCENAME> and
    $HOME/.activemqrc-instance-<INSTANCENAME>. Configuration files in /etc
have higher precedence.

Re: installing activeMQ in linux computer

Posted by wathugala <wa...@actainc.com>.
I found the error in my command in the earlier message.

The actual command should be
bin/activemq start

Last week, website did not have the word start in it.
Thanks
Wije
