list server problem

Sorry to interrupt with administrivia...

I've sent a dozen emails to:

    general-unsubscribe@jakarta.apache.org

without the desired effect. 
I've also sent three emails to:

    general-owner@jakarta.apache.org

asking for human intervention. No answer.

Sorry to bother you all, but how do I turn this --
very nice and quite useful list thank you very much -- off?
